What is the difference between MicroAblation and Microdermabrasion?

Microdermabrasion is a mild physical exfoliation that only buffets the outermost layer of dead skin cells. MicroAblation uses advanced clinical technology to reach deeper epidermal layers, precisely removing micro-damaged tissue to stimulate true collagen synthesis and cellular turnover.

For lighter resurfacing sessions, a topical numbing cream is generally not required. For deeper textural or pigmentation protocols, we apply a luxury medical-grade numbing cream beforehand to ensure your total comfort throughout the session.

Immediately following treatment, your skin will feel warm and look similar to a mild sunburn for 24 to 48 hours. Over the next 3 to 5 days, light shedding or micro-flaking may occur as old skin cells give way to new, healthy tissue.

While a single session provides a remarkable boost in brightness and smoothness, a series of 3 sessions spaced 4 weeks apart is ideal for correcting deeper sun damage, stubborn pigmentation, or uneven texture.

Because the treatment stimulates your body’s own natural collagen production, results are long-lasting. Improvements continue to build for 3 to 6 months post-treatment as new collagen matures, with results typically lasting 12 to 18 months before a gentle maintenance session is recommended.
